Men’s League Info

Greetings Fellow Lacrosse Enthusiasts:

We hope this letter finds you well and that everybody is having or had an enjoyable as well as successful season, whether it’s high school, college, indoor or club. We would like to begin by thanking all of the players for an outstanding summer of lacrosse last year and to encourage all to return. The complex, teams, games and level of competition get better every year. The Tri-City Sports Complex is an ever-evolving process of improvements and we are working to once again enhance your playing experience this summer. Tri-City Lacrosse Inc. is a registered non-profit organization (501-C3), which means that after we pay our bills, mortgage, insurance, website, referees, lining equipment/paint, goals, balls, jerseys, gas, mower, seed/fertilizer and scorekeepers, all proceeds are re-invested into the organization to fund clinics, equipment, as well as field and complex upgrades/repairs. We will be continuing with the two-night a week format this summer (Tuesday/Thursday). We will continue with discounted rates for Varsity players also registered to play in either Tri-City’s Youth division or it’s club team. That fee will only be an additional $35 for the Men’s League.

The time to pre-register for this year’s summer lacrosse season is here. The pre-registration fee will be $115 + your insurance fee through US Lacrosse, which varies depending upon your age and participation level. This price is for pre-registration only! You can register online at www.tricitylacrosse.org or in person at the draft game. Any new or returning player is encouraged to pre-register as early as possible. You are also responsible for obtaining/renewing your U.S. Lacrosse Membership, which is mandatory in order to participate in the league (www.lacrosse.org). You can do this via the web, it’s instant and also allows us to see your status immediately but please be sure to designate “Tri-City Lacrosse League” as a group attached to your membership. If you do not pre-register before 5/27/21 you will be obligated to pay $140 + insurance fees, thereafter. If you have already renewed your US Lacrosse membership and it will remain current through 8/30/21 then you must attach a copy of your membership card, with completed registration form or update your profile online with US Lacrosse so we can see your membership status.

For all newcomers, the league runs a scrimmage game to assess talent and conduct a draft of the new players into the league. The draft scrimmage will be held Wednesday 5/24/21 at 5:30pm at the Tri-City Sports Complex located at 6556 Bartlett Road, Rome next to the Stanwix Heights Fire Department (off of Route 233). Thus, if you haven’t played in the league before, it is necessary to bring your equipment and be prepared to play. Also, if you are a returning player who wishes to re-enter the draft to play on a different squad this year, please indicate so on the Tri-City Registration Form.
The league will begin Thursday June 6th with games at 6pm and 7pm. We will be looking to hold the Championship Game on Saturday August 3, 2019. The league schedule is posted online at Tri-City Lacrosse’s Web Site www.tricitylacrosse.org. Remember, you will NOT be allowed to participate without meeting the above criteria and it is YOUR responsibility to read the league rules located on the league webpage.

Yours in Lax,
Brent Dodge, League Commissioner 315.404.8688
